My Role: Concept Designer/ Artworker
Client: The Office Group
Location: Leeds
Brief: To celebrate the history of leeds and reference the building's impressive location.
Solution: The Aire St Co- working space, provided by 'The Office Group' sits conveniently within Leeds Railway station. To celebrate this we continued our tradition of creating artworks based on the iconic orange train ticket.
The success of the city of Leeds was largely based on its history with the Wool industry, therefore we thought it a fitting tribute to recreate this icon with important material. Within the ticket design itself we added some hidden play on words to make the onlooker smile and add an extra level of engagement.
The composition of this artwork took some experimentation and engineering itself. We were able to source gridded plastic mesh as a canvas on which a team hand-stitched this piece to create this truly one of a kind artwork.
