FESTIVE HUB
These festive installations were created while I was involved as Director/Founder of design studio Accent London.

My Role: Lead Designer/Project Manager

Client: Here East

Brief: Create art installations which celebrate the festive period in a modern style making sure the installations are aesthetically cohesive with the Here East Brand.

Solution:
Courtyard: 3 giant ‘snowballs’ made up of interconnecting snowflakes appear to have fallen in the courtyard space. These 2 meter high sculptures, each engraved with its own unique snowflake circuit board pattern, both reflect the spirit of the tech hub and reference some of the existing architectural details.

Riverside: For the riverside we decided to utilise the existing framework that ran down the river facing side of the building. Our primary challenge was to cover so much ground, making an impact with a limited budget over 25 meters. To make the installations appear cohesive as a group we used the circuitboard snowflake from the Courtyard sculptures to created a 'frosting' over the framework which was lit at night to create a festive atmosphere for the shops and bars.

Reception: In the reception area we were keen to draw upon the visual language of the reception desk which resembled a present box itself. Mimicking it's use of internal light we created stacks of different sized glowing present boxes each wrapped with a bow in the Here East Brand colours.

Co-working space: For our tree we took inspiration from the simple, engineered furniture used on the Here East Campus. Using CNC cut geometric shapes which interlocked to create the iconic tree shape.
