FITFLOP

Pop up activation produced while working in the creative team at Syn.

My Role: Senior Designer

Client: Fitflop

Location: Global

Brief: To design a Gold, Silver, Bronze execution of an Activation Pop-up that would educate on the 6 footbed Technologies as well as encourage try on and lead consumers to store.

Solution: This was our first project with the client which was a great opportunity to show them that we could get to know and understand the brand quickly and deliver something impactful.

Our challenge was to both provide an attractive and engaging experience for the consumer as well as educate on the intricacies of the design technology within the product.

Each technology had its own tech name, assigned graphic pattern as well as a set of different features that needed to be conveyed. For this we designed 2 types of sleek, Corian, vitrine - one with a hero silhouette presented with projection to highlight and detail the specific design features, the other with a transparent screen to run content relating to the portrayed product.

In addition to this we also wanted to offer an experience that would give back to the consumer. Through experimenting with layouts in Blender 3D and sketch form we came to a conclusion of ‘The Pod’. This both divided up the space whilst also giving an enclosed area for an activation of the client's choice. The enclosed nature of this area provided wall space that was utilised for product display in further silhouettes and styles as well as a position for a screen facing rearwards for any visitors approaching from the opposite direction that needed to be introduced to the brand. This also gave a logical positon for seating to be added which we designed to mimic the flowlines already used as a brand device in the Clients recent top line work.

Options for the Pod were suggested as interchangable for each market, some of these ideas included - a customisation station using the Fitflop jewels, a 360 degree try on/photo moment and an interactive 360 screen that included lift & learn. The client was excited about the screen posibilities and we went on to outline a proposal to develop content that would ultimately lead to more work.

Presenting to the CMO on this we recieved some extremely positive feedback as well as excitement and buy in from the markets.
